Mother's Rights

Did you know?

  •  The laws dealing with Child Custody are gender neutral.

  •  A mother is not automatically granted custody.

  •  Custody arrangements are made based on the best interests of the child, not based on the wishes of parents.

  •   You can be made to pay child support if not granted custody.

All of these things can be hard to comprehend given that you are the Mother. You have been with your kids in the middle of the night when sick and comforted them when they are hurt. But, that can all be lost in Court. You are not alone. But you must demand your rights or you potentially waive them! At Ohana Legal we can help. We will fight for your rights as a Mother!
